About Me

Hi everyone, my name is Logan and I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in Alaska but recently moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm majoring in psychology with the intention of moving back to Alaska once I complete my degree so I can help the community I grew up in. In the meantime, I've been exploring the new city I'm in, making friends, and going to concerts. During my free time I can often be seen playing Magic: The Gathering at local cafes or biking around the beautiful parks in the area.
I used to play the cello, but had to stop once I graduated high school because I couldn't afford to buy my own instrument. Nowadays, I mostly just listen to music, and make themed playlists when the mood strikes. I recently went to my first concert ever here in Minneapolis, for two indie artists whom I love: Bug Hunter and The Narcissist Cookbook. I've hyperlinked a song by each of them to their names, please give them a listen! Since that concert, I hope to go to live music shows more frequently since I find it very moving and love the general atmosphere found at live performances.
I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but probably the most frequently listened to genre is indie pop and indie rock. I could go on for hours about the musicians I love, but I'll keep it short. The most important musician to me is hands-down the British indie pop/indie rock band Bears in Trees. They released their most recent album, How to Build an Ocean: Instructions about 4 months ago, and it's been on repeat ever since. They're by far my favorite artist, followed by the previously mentioned Narcissist Cookbook and Bug Hunter. Some other artists to know when it comes to getting to know me includes: Everybody's Worried About Owen, Waterparks, My Chemical Romance, and James Marriott. I've once again included a link to a specific song for each of them, please give them each a listen and let me know what you think!

  1. I really enjoyed my time in the Twin Cities. I did my grad school at St. Thomas in St. Paul. I see that Bears in Trees is on tour in the US. They will be in Chicago - not too far away.

  2. Hi Logan, I also moved recently! I am currently in Wisconsin and also a psychology major! Live performances are a different kind of experience. I only experienced it once when I first moved here and would like to go to more when I get the chance!

  3. Hi Logan! It's great to meet you! That's awesome you want to return to Alaska and help your community. I've been up here for about 2 years now, and it is truly like nothing I've experienced before coming from the south. It's good to hear you're getting into concerts. I love going to them back home with friends and family!
